Practice
Pollie’s practice is intellectual property: clearing, registering, maintaining and enforcing trademarks, and registering and enforcing copyrights. She works with clients filing for the first time and with established brands managing portfolios across multiple countries.
The firm files federally in the United States and internationally through a network of associated firms abroad, and takes on trademark work that began elsewhere — including applications filed by the applicants themselves.
Background
She began her career as a trademark specialist at an international intellectual property firm, and later moved in-house as Corporate Counsel at Akkadix Corporation, a La Jolla biotechnology company, where her work centred on intellectual property.
That combination matters more than it sounds. Having sat on the client side, she has had to weigh IP decisions against a budget and a product timetable rather than in the abstract — which is the position most of the firm’s clients are in.
