Pollie A. Gautsch, Esq. is the managing attorney at G&A Legal. She has 15 years of experience assisting clients in the areas of intellectual property. Ms. Gautsch has coordinated and prosecuted thousands of applications and registrations in the United States and throughout the world, and has resolved matters involving Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Gautsch focuses on the big picture for clients in creating,and protecting their intellectual property (including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets).
In addition to strategic portfolio management and counseling, we have substantial experience handling trademark administrative proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). We help clients create strategies for both sending and responding to cease-and-desist letters and other third-party issues. We pride ourselves on our ability to come up with creative solutions to resolve disputes, including negotiating and drafting trademark-related agreements, including license agreements, coexistence agreements, and co- branding agreements.
Patent Agent Jill Martin
Jill D. Martin Bio:
Jill Martin is a registered patent agent with the US Patent & Trademark Office. She has over twenty years of experience in the biotech space encompassing successful transitions from lab bench to patent office to valued management team member as Vice President of Intellectual Property for an international public company. Ms. Martin spent eleven years at a biotech company managing and prosecuting the intellectual property portfolio and leveraging the assets for corporate development. Prior to that, she spent 5 years as a patent examiner at the US Patent & Trademark Office.
Ms. Martin specializes in the patent prosecution of a wide range of subject matter.
Prior to joining G&A Legal, APC, Ms. Martin served as Vice President of Intellectual Property at BioMedica Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Oxford BioMedica – a company developing gene-based medicines. She managed the company’s intellectual property portfolio and developed and implemented patent prosecution strategies that harmonized with corporate goals. She additionally contributed as a global corporate development team member through market analyses, due diligence exercises, partner and licensing interactions, and litigation support. Ms. Martin also served as a Primary Patent Examiner at the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Martin earned a B.Sc. degree in Biology at Virginia Tech in 1992.
